Suunto has been making an ever increasingly useful and ever increasingly varied line of Ambit watches for years. We have used all the generations, and most of the versions of each generation. The original Ambit was pioneering in that it included lengthy battery life, GPS technology, and barometric altimetry into a relatively compact wrist-top device.

With its off-road styling, excellent navigation and huge wealth of features, the Suunto Ambit 3 Run is a cracking trail-running watch. It is also suitable for the city, but there are better options there.
