Both the ZeWatch and ZeBracelet achieve what they set out to do. They do, however, lack the sheer volume of functions seen on the likes of the Sony SmartWatch, but both work well enough within their all-too limited feature sets. Taking calls on your watch feels like the future, and both boast classy designs, which trump anything we've seen on other, more powerful SmartWatches. On the negative side, battery life could be better and it's a shame that more information can't be pushed to that OLED display. Audio notifications are all very well, but textual details about emails or other alerts would have been nice. It's also slightly annoying that you have to press a button to display the time, but having the screen constantly on would naturally drain the battery. Still, not everyone wants the kind of connectivity that other SmartWatches offer, and the ZeWatch provides a viable alternative to Bluetooth headsets. You can take calls whilst driving or cycling without having to wear a credibility-damaging earpiece. Still that’s hardly enough to consider these things smartwatches.
